Laura Coronado
Laura is
the owner and director of Laura’s Dance Dynamics.
She has had over 30 years of dance experience and
also holds a B.F.A. in
Dance Education from Sam Houston Ste University.
Laura began her dancing career under the direction
of Rhonda Mann, where she studied for
the next fifteen years. From ’85-’89, Laura was a
member of the National Award Winning Spring
Starlettes. While a Starlette Laura was
accepted to the All-American Drill Team
Organization, where she was invited to perform in
France and at the Dallas Mavericks halftime.
In 1989, Laura attended Kilgore College and was a
member of the Kilgore College Rangerettes from
’89-’91. As a Rangerette, Laura
performed in New York City at the Macy’s
Thanksgiving Day Parade, the 1990 and 1991 Cotton
Bowl Parades and Games, Dallas Cowboys
football games, Ann Richards’ Inauguration Day
Parade, a Presidential Gala for George Bush as well
as with many others—including
Cybil Shepard, Dolly Parton, Lee Greenwood, and
Willie Nelson. Laura holds a lifetime membership in
the Rangerettes Forever organization.
In 1993, while earning her B.F.A. at Sam Houston
University, Laura was a member of the Dance Spectrum
Touring Company as well as an officer
of the Chi Tau Epsilon Dance Honor Society. Laura
has also choreographed for “A Christmas Carol;
Scrooge & Marley” which as
performed at OnStage in Bedford and for Grapevine’s
Runway Theatre Musical, "Is there Life after High
School."
Laura still attends many
professional dance conventions and seminars
throughout the year - enabling her to keep up with
the latest dance trends
and styles taking hold
across the United States. She currently has some fresh
and exciting new
staff members at LDD in 2006.
